Job Description

Your Mission: 

AfterShip is looking for a Head of Content Marketing to lead the strategic planning and operations of AfterShip’s content marketing efforts. You will have a deep understanding of how content fuels SEO and how content supports the overall marketing lead generation strategy. You have experience producing  a variety of content formats, such as blogs, emails, ebooks, podcasts, video and social. This role will report to the VP of Marketing and will lead and manage a team of in-house and freelance writers and video producers/editors.

What you'll do:

  • Formulate the content marketing strategy and editorial calendar, as well as oversee all content marketing-related projects and deliverables to help achieve corporate and departmental goals
  • Lead and manage a team of in-house writers and freelancer writers
  • Establish and ensure consistency of brand voice
  • Ensure content meets editorial and quality standards
  • Maintain an efficient content creation and curation process
  • Establish metrics and benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of content and edit content strategy based on these metrics as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver and effectively distribute high-quality content
  • Align and interact with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels to gather inputs and develop content

 

Who We're Looking For:

  • An experienced Director that has managed in-house teams
  • 10yrs overall marketing experience
  • A bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent working experience
  • Proven experience in content strategy formulation, editorial calendar planning and creation and establishing a brand voice, tonality, profile in a B2B environment
  • Solid experience in producing smart CTA’s according to prospect/customer journey
  • Strong understanding of the importance of optimizing content for SEO
  • Experience and deep understanding in adapting/localizing content in support of a global organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical thinker and creative problem solver
