Reporting to the Head of People, the Sr.HRBP is the connection between the business line and HR to assess trends in areas such as performance management, compensation, career and leadership development as well as retention. This role is critical in developing the success and culture of our organization.

What You’ll Do:

  •  Work closely with leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution. Diagnose organizational problems and provide sound counsel accordingly.
  •  Participate in HR related projects and policy-landing, which may include but are not limited to Performance Management, compensation, Talent Review, etc.
  •  Understand North American HR in-depth, work with overseas teams to create plans for organizational development in line with long-term strategic goals, and drive it forward.
  •  Deepen and extend employees' sense of Company Value by various means, including but are not limited to Learning and Development, Performance Management, etc.
  • Managing the HRIS/PEO platforms and working closely with the talent and people operations team to ensure a high level of “pulse” and creating a positive company culture.

Who We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience working in HR for organizations, particularly in human resources management, performance management, compensation and organizational design and effectiveness.
  • A Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources or related fields.
  • Someone who has extensive experience with US laws and regulations
  • A self-starter who is proactive, hungry and able to coach management level employees.
  • Experience working in a global team environment.
  • Experience with Canada & European laws preferred.
  • 3-4 years HR experience in a high pace environment is preferred.

Why You Should Join Us:

  • We are super proud of our geeky culture, started by our engineer-turned-CEO, and the diversity of the team, cultivated by a group of amazing people from all over the world.
  • You will receive competitive compensation, benefits from day 1, flexible PTO, and all sorts of tools and resources to empower you to do your best work.
  • You’re empowered to choose a work environment that works best for you - whether that is home, hybrid, or in the office full-time. Right now, we have WeWork offices in Toronto, Austin, and Barcelona.
  • You will be part of a company that is on an exceptional growth trajectory as we have been routinely doubling our revenue every year since 2014, and secured a funding round of $66 million Series B led by Tiger Global last year.
  • We have great ambition to make buying and selling easier for everyone in this world -- one of the most exciting spaces for a technology start-up to be in. There is virtually no ceiling for either what you will be doing or learning here, and we want to support you to grow exponentially, along with the company.
